Report from Cremona Mondomusica 2014

Cremona Mondomusica and the Piano Experience are going in the right direction: Music 2.0 Area and the Acoustic Guitar Village - the 2014 novelties - were successful and characterized by intense internationalization activities.
  • The rich and extensive program of events (a record calendar with 90 events in 3 days) attracted a new audience of Italian and international potential buyers.
  • Over 300 artists and renowned representatives of the international music world took part in the exhibition with their performances and direct testimonies: from Nyman and Brendel to the artistic directors of some of the most important European orchestras (London Philarmonic, Bergen Philarmonic, European Festival Association, Piano City…)
  • The guitar makes a wonderful debut: an explosive “village” with 42 performances and seminars during three days of non-stop activities that brought to Cremona the six strings community.
  • Mondomusica confirms as the most International exhibition of the Italian trade fair system: 63% of exhibitors coming from abroad (28 represented countries).

Exhibitors unanimously indicated that the second edition of Mondomusica New York, which ended yesterday after three days of intense business activity, is the best tool to get in contact with new buyers from the world’s most important market.
There were over 100 exhibitors, 14 represented countries, 12 events and a highly selective audience in attendance.
 

CremonaFiere donates 20 violins to Opus118 at Carnegie Hall

Mondomusica New York organized a concert at Carnegie Hall in cooperation with Pro Canale Foundation, and before the concert we donated 20 violins and a cello to Opus118- Harlem School of Music.
Founder, Roberta Guaspari, was in attendance to accept the donation.
 
Zankell Hall was packed for Pavel Berman and Alexander Romanovski and the concert was awesome!
 

Mondomusica New York receives the support of the Lombardy Region

"Once again I am pleased to bring support, mine and of the Region of which I am honored to chair, to the second edition of Mondomusica New York."  The letter sent by the President of Lombardy Region Roberto Maroni to the President of CremonaFiere Antonio Piva points out that the Region of Lombardy is "favorable to these kemesse that represent a time of socialization and dissemination of knowledge and culture for the individual territories".
The congratulations of the President of the Region are in addition to compliments of New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, of the Italian Ambassador in Washington Claudio Bisogniero and of major Italian institutions.

The Ambassador Bisogniero congratulates CremonaFiere for the second edition of Mondomusica New York

In an official letter addressed to the President of CremonaFiere Antonio Piva, Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero stressed the importance of Mondomusica New York and the prominent role of violin making in Cremona and in the history, culture and Italian know-how.

The Embassy of Italy Washington DC has also given wide coverage to the event on the cultural portal www.ITALYinUS.org
