The commitee and the Advisory Board are hard at work organizing and planning for Mondomusica New York 2014.
The Advisory Board consists of some of the most prominent representatives of contemporary violin makers and some of the most influential American and U.S. industry associations.
New to the board this year is Sam Zygmuntowicz, one of the most renowned luthiers in the world. In fact, the great Isaac Stern has puchased two of Sam’s instruments from his Brooklyn shop, one of which still holds the record for highest amount paid at auction for an instrument made a living luthier.
Additional board members include:
  • Chris Germain (President of the Violin Society of America)
  • Peter Seman (President of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers)
  • Jerry Pasewicz (Vice President of the VSA and board memeber of the AFVBM)
  • Helen Hayes (Past President of the VSA)
  • Joseph Regh (Past Vice President of the VSA)
  • Emanuele Beschi (General Director of the "G. Donizetti" Conservatory in Bergamo, Italy)
