With an economic situation that is putting the production and distribution of musical instruments to the test, Cremona Mondomusica has demonstrated that it is a strong instrument of commercialization and promotion that is able to fight back.
An impressive number of foreign buyers
in fact, over the course of three days, the exhibit has registered a never before seen number of international business coming from important markets such as Japan, the United States and South Korea.
“It is a result of the enormous amount of work we are doing on the level of international promotion” underlines Antonio Piva, President of CremonaFiere. “We have already constructed a unique network of contacts in the world, particularly in the sector of musical instrument craftsmanship: it is an asset that we offer to our exhibitors, a service of collective marketing of great value.”
77 events, 280 musicians, and 41 collaborations of the highest level
There were 13,308 visitors at Cremona Mondomusica 2013 from musicians to dealers and buyers. Visitors came not only for the exhibition section that this year had the greatest masters of violin making in the world, but also came for the excellent cultural and artistic program. The 77 events, from concerts to presentations, to conventions and round tables, gave life to the State of General Music: a program including over 280 musicians, and 41 institutions, associations, conservatories, and schools of music.
“No other event in this trade sector in the world is as rich in cultural technical and scientific content, “ continues Antonio Piva, “Proposing a program of this level, we attract to Cremona all of the music communities in Italy and abroad, from professional musician and lovers to music teachers and the top music schools: in this way, we give our exhibitors the opportunity to meet the correct people to grow new business.”
