Among the American exhibitors of Mondomusica New York 2014 (exhibitors from 14 U.S. States already signed up), we find Dipper Restoration, from Minnesota.
Andrew Dipper is a skilled restorer, historian, writer and sculptor. After studying sculpture and violinmaking in London and Cremona, he founded Andrew Dipper Restorations in London, England in 1975. He relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1990 where he joined Claire Givens Violins, Inc. as Vice President. At Mondomusica New York he will give a lecture about the life and times of Antonio Stradivari; we asked him some anticipation.
Mondomusica New York 2014 will host more than 100 exhibitors from 12 countries: a real international show that will features some among the best worldwide violin and accessories makers. Among the European exhibitors we will find Larsen Strings, from Denmark, which develop, produces and globally distributes strings of the finest musical quality for bowed instruments.
At Mondomusica New York, Larsen Strings will also organize the seminar "Musical strings: their design and impact on sound" featuring Thomas Zwieg and Laurits Th. Larsen.
We asked Laurits some questions about their participation at Mondomuisca New York.
Mondomusica New York is excited to welcome Dr. John Chong, President of Performing Arts Medicine Association (P.A.M.A.) and the Medical Director of the Musicians’ Clinics of Canada, as a guest seminar speaker under the category of Health and Wellness for Musicians. Dr. Chong began his career as a pianist, but his music career was interrupted, when at the age of 14 he injured his right hand from over practicing the piano. His interests shifted to study in the fields of medicine, clinical epidemiology and biostatistics, occupational health, public health and preventive medicine, acupuncture, and psychotherapy.
At Mondomusica New York,
Business and Culture go hand in hand!
Mondomusica New York is much more than a trade show: Mondomusica offers supplementary programming of cultural, scientific and artistic events to attract a wider and diverse group of musical professionals.
The mission of CremonaFiere, who is acting as marketing developer, is to support its clients and their work throughout the year with trade exhibitions and events such as international road shows.
The main objective is to create an increasingly high number of business opportunities by reaching new markets and developing new relations with institutions and organizations of the field at international level.
After recent presentations in the USA (February 4 in Chicago and February 6 in Los Angeles), the European Road Show presented the 3 international exhibitions Cremona Mondomusica, Cremona Pianoforte and Mondomusica New York to Dutch professionals on February 26 in Amsterdam and on February 27 in Copenhagen.
